# Your appointment summary

Tick and type what's been happening, then print one page for your GP or gastroenterologist. Doctors ask about your symptoms, your general health and your family history, so bring it written down.[1](#src-nhs-bowel)

Everything stays on this page, in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved: close the page and it's gone.

## Don't wait for the appointment

- See a GP if you have blood in your poo, which may look red or black.[1](#src-nhs-bowel)
- Ask for an urgent GP appointment or get help from NHS 111 if your poo is black or dark red, or you have bloody diarrhoea.[1](#src-nhs-bowel)
- Call 999 or go to A&E if there's a lot of blood or you see large blood clots when you poo.[1](#src-nhs-bowel)

## Let your iPhone fill this in

Stool Log keeps the diary as you go and turns your last 14 days into a free report for your doctor: stools a week, hard and loose days, the longest gap, and red flags with their dates.
