Writing about gut health, IBS, constipation or caring for a child? Here's what you need about Stool Log. Write to us for anything else.

In one sentence

Stool Log is a private bowel movement diary for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch that turns a tap after each stool into a clear report for your doctor.

In a paragraph

Stool Log helps people keep track of their bowel movements by Bristol stool type, along with symptoms, food, drinks and medicines. One-tap widgets and an Apple Watch app make logging take seconds. After a couple of weeks, a free one-page report shows a doctor how often, how hard and since when, and Possible links shows which foods came before bad days. There's no account: the diary stays on the person's devices and in their own private iCloud. Stool Log was made by parents whose son has eczema and constipation. It's free, with an optional Plus purchase for a fuller report.
